Happy New Year from everyone at CHOSA! Things are busy as usual in Cape Town, as a new school year has just started up and our partners are doing all they can to make sure the children in their care experience success. You can read all about our partner projects and their hard work in 2015 in our recent newsletter here.
Here in the U.S., we were encouraged to recently hear from a ten-year-old named Sean, who lives in San Diego, CA, but whose father is South African. He decided to start a fundraiser for CHOSA as a school project, and is excited to be raising money so that the kids we serve can have the nutritious meals, educational enrichment, and safe homes they need to thrive. You can check out his GoFundMe page here. We are so grateful for his enthusiasm, and inspired by his desire to help kids his age on the other side of the world.
Continue to check our blog for more updates soon.
All the best,
Ellie (Fundraising Coordinator)
