As usual, our family of CHOSA alumni and supporters here in the US is as busy as ever!

One of our long-standing partnerships is with The Anthem Group, the parent organization of various events and marketing companies based in Boston. Anthem’s President has a strong connection to South Africa, and this month, CHOSA and Anthem are teaming up to present “A True Work of Art.” The art auction will take place on Saturday, October 20th, at Boston’s iconic Custom House, from 7:00-10:00 p.m. The night will be full of art and entertainment, with local and South African art from CHOSA partners, such as Philani, up for auction as well as jewelry, home décor, and other items crafted by talented artists representing the communities we serve. CHOSA is also coming to Michigan this weekend! Detroit-based R&B/jazz artist AleshaNicole will be performing tonight at our “Sounds of Hope” Benefit Concert on the University of Michigan’s campus to raise awareness and support for CHOSA. Fundraising Coordinator Ellie Gunderson will speak about CHOSA’s latest work, and the vision and mission that makes us so unique. The event is at Common Cup Coffeeshop, 1511 Washtenaw Avenue, Ann Arbor, MI, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. For more details, click here.
